Mbarara City FC bounced back to winning ways with a hard fought 1-0 victory over relegation threatened Luweero United at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara.
Karim Ramathan headed home Mbarara City’s goal in the 82nd minute off Sadat Nsubuga’s well delivered to corner kick.
Prior to this game Mbarara City had gone two games minus registering victory.
They had lost to Kyetume FC and played to a two all draw with fellow promotional chasing Kitara FC at Kigaya.
The Ankole Lions move to the third position after this victory 48 points collected from 26 games two below second placed NEC FC.
Luweero United remain in the relegation zone 13th with 28 points
The two sides will play the next games on Thursday 27th March.
Mbarara City will visit Soroti City while Luweero United will host Kitara FC at Kosovo grounds.
