Express FC came from a goal behind to secure a 1-1 draw with Soltilo Bright Stars at Kavumba Recreation Ground.
In-form winger Ibrahim Kasinde gave Bright Stars a first half lead but Allan Kayiwa levelled scores moments into the second stanza.
Kasinde capitalized on a defensive blip to score from a Dennis Kaka Umony corner from the left in the 18th minute.
There was a scary moment after Express midfielder Hussein Senoga collapsed on the pitch towards the half-time break and was subsequently rushed to the hospital.
His place was later taken by Enock Ssebagala who was fouled in the forbidden area by Bright Stars defender Gideon Etou and a penalty was awarded in the 55th minute.
Kayiwa stepped up and flawlessly converted to tie the encounter at 1-1 but to also take his tally to 10 goals this season.
Kayiwa and Fred Amaku who also scored his 10th goal for Maroons, are the only players who have scored double figures so far.
Express are currently 9th with 29 points while Soltilo Bright Stars are now 11th with 28 points from 22 games played.
Next on menu for the Red Eagles will be a home game against Wakiso Giants at Wankulukuku on Friday 28th April while Bright Stars will visit BUL on the same day.
