Masaza Cup: Bulemeezi agree deal to appoint Sadiq Sempigi as their head coach

Bulemeezi Ssaza team have agreed a deal to appoint Mbarara City boss Sadiq Sempigi as their next head coach.

Sempigi fresh from guiding the Ankole Lions back to the topflight division will take over helms at two time Masaza Cup winners Bulemeezi this year.

He will take over from caretaker manager Edward Ssali who was at the helms last season as Bulemeezi lost to Buddu on away goals rule in the Semifinal.

Sempigi is a CAF “B” licenced coach and is expected to name his backroom staff at Bulemeezi soon.

His primary role this year will be helping Bulemeezi win their third Masaza Cup title. They have previously won the competition in 2012 and 2019.

Sempigi has previously coached at Buganda Region League side Kampala University FC from where he joined Onduparaka.

He has also coached at Kooki Ssaza football team as well as Buganda Province in the FUFA Drum tournament.

Bulemeezi are in Bulange Group alongside Ssingo, Butambala, Buvuma, Bugerere and Busujju.
