Mawogola unveil Fred Kasekende as new head coach

Mawogola Ssaza management team has appointed Fred Kasekende as their new head coach.

Kasekende was officially unveiled by Mawogola at their Ssaza headquarters on Monday.

He replaces Micheal Kabali who was at helms of Mawogola last campaign. Kabali worked alongside former Express FC captain Steven Luswata.

Kasekende is a CAF C licensed coach and has previously managed Ayod Soccer Academy, Kabale Sanje SSS, St.Josephine SSS Lwengo and this year’s USSSA Football Championship Finalists.

Kasekende’s SHACK lost 1-0 to St.Mary’s Kitende in Final that was held at Nyakasura playground in Fort Portal.

In the prestigious Masaza Cup competition, Kasekende worked assistant head coach at Buddu, Mawogola as assistant coach and guided Ssese to the 2007 and 2008 Semi-Finals.

Kasekende will be assisted by Magaasi Jamadah and Sula Yasin with other members of the coaching staff yet to be revealed.

Mawogola is Muganzirwa Group alongside Gomba, holders Busiro, Mawokota, Ssese and Kabula.

Busiro are the defending champions following their 2-1 win over Buddu during last year’s edition.
