Erisa Ssekisambu leaves Kiyovu Sports Club after one season

Rwanda Premier League giants Kiyovu Sports Club have confirmed the departure of Ugandan forward Erisa Ssekisambu after one season.

Ssekisambu joined Kiyovu at the start of the recently concluded season as a free agent after leaving KCCA FC.

The experienced forward was Kiyovu’s leading scorer with 10 goals as they agonizingly lost out on the league title to champions APR on goal difference.

APR emerged champions for the fourth time in a row after edging Kiyovu on a superior goal difference as both sides tied on 63 points.

Ssekisambu together with former Orlando Pirates Norodien Riyaad were officially confirmed leaving the club on Tuesday night.

Ssekisambu’s fellow countryman and midfielder Muzamir Mutyaba is also expected to leave the six time champions after two seasons.

Ssekisambu is a tried and tested player who has previously featured for the big sides in the Uganda; Express FC, SC Villa, Vipers, URA FC and KCCA.

He also featured for Kenyan giants Gor Mahia as well as Tarxien Rainbows in Malta.
