Uganda’s female pugilist Catherine Nanziri will battle Tanzanian Egine Kanyange in the Africa Women’s Bantamweight title fight on 19th August at MTN Arena in Lugogo.
The fight was officially launched on Wednesday, 14th June at Vuum Car Bond in Kampala.
“Its going to be challenging to me and my country as well to be the first female to battle for this belt. The pressure is going to be on me but I promise that I am going to do the very best to win the title.” Nanziri briefly stated
On the same day Shadir Musa Bwogi will battle for the ABU East and Central Super Middleweight title. His opponent is yet to be revealed.
Meanwhile, Stanley Mugerwa will battle Mwinyi Mzengele from Tanzania in the Super Middleweight ABU East and Central title fight.
The fight night is sponsored by Harris International through their energy drink Rock Boom.
