Saidi Kyeyune on Vipers’ radar

Vipers have identified URA FC midfielder Said Kyeyune as an attainable target ahead of the transfer window.

Swift Sports Uganda understands that the Venoms have made it a primary mission this transfer window to bring in at least two experienced midfielders.  A defensive and creative one ahead of the busy season.

According to sources, Kyeyune and his representatives have already began negotiations with the Kitende based side and personal terms are not expected to be a problem.

The two parties are on the verge of reaching a compromise. He has a year left on his employment contract at URA FC.

Kyeyune returned to the tax collectors on a three year deal in 2021 following his departure from Sudanese side El Merreikh Omdurman after mutually terminating his contract.

He joined El Merreikh after excelling at the 2021 African Nations Championship (CHAN) hosted by in Morocco, scoring two of the three goals Uganda scored.

Vipers have already agreed terms with Taddeo Lwanga and have also released eight players who are Olivier Osomba, Serge Robert Mwenge, Ibrahim Orit, Gracia Mpongo Mbombo, Musa Ssali, Dissan Galiwango, Frank Tumwesigye alias Zaga and Bashir Asiku.
