Former Busoga United coach Abbey Kikomeko has been confirmed as the next head coach of Jinja based side BUL FC.
As reported by this website two weeks ago, he has signed a two year deal.
Kikomeko who guided Mbale Heroes to Big league promotion last season joins the Eastern Giants with immense experience after guiding Busoga United to topflight promotion 7 years ago.
While announcing his appointment, the club described him a highly experienced coach who suits their standards.
Kikomeko expressed his delight at the new appointment and vowed not to disappoint.
“I am excited to be at BUL FC. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the country. I know I am now carrying a big load, so, I am not here for fun – I have come here to perform,”
“I am interested in young boys and promoting players from within.”
“With the help of the technical team and the staff, I think we shall achieve.”
At BUL, he will link with a host of his former players like Douglas Muganga, Jerome Kirya, Thomas Ikara, Ibrahim Mugulusi, Anthony Mayanja, Paul Sekulima and
George Kasonko.
BUL have been under the interim tutelage of Simeone Masaba who took over from Alex Isabirye who joined Vipers SC mid last term.
BUL finished last season in the 8th place in what appeared to be a disappointing season by their standards.
