Simon Mugerwa set to snub Gaddafi FC for Big league side

Simon Peter Mugerwa is set to be appointed as Police FC head coach, Swift Sports Uganda understands.

Mugerwa will replace Angelo Lonyesi who was in charge of the Cops last season.

According to sources privy to this website, Mugerwa will turn his back against Gaddafi FC with whom he had already agreed terms.

He has been serving at Kampala Region side Proline FC and was recently appointed as the new Buddu Ssaza team head coach.

Mugerwa has previously worked as assistant coach at Fire Masters Football Club and SC Villa during Douglas Bamweyana’s reign.

He also served at Bright Stars in the same capacity before he was relieved of his duties when the club appointed Asaph Mwebaze as head coach at the start of last season.

Mugerwa has handled Kakungulu Memorial, Masaka Secondary School and Buddo Secondary School in the schools’ football competitions.

He guided Masaka and Buddo SS to the East Africa Secondary School Football Association (FEASSA) gold respectively.

The Buddu tactician is also an achiever in the prestigious Masaza Cup competition having guided Bulemeezi and Busiro to the 2019 and 2022 triumphs.
