In the bid to holster their squad for a better challenge in next season’s CAF champions league, Rwanda premier league champions APR FC have lifted their own ban on signing cross boader players for the first time in 10 years.
This website as earlier on reported, they have contacted Vipers SC to inquire about the availability of captain Milton Karisa.
In addition, they are also understood to have agreed personal terms with free agent Taddeo Lwanga and he is expected to be unveiled soon as their player despite the fact that Lwanga had also entered into intensive negotiations with Vipers SC for a potential return.
Before joining Djibouti side Arta Solar, Lwanga played for Tanzania Giants Simba SC and helped them to a domestic double at the expense of their arch rivals Yanga in 2021.
He scored the all important goal for Simba as they sealed the 2021 Tanzania FA Cup beating Yanga in Final that was held in Kigoma.
He has also previously featured for Express FC and SC Villa before joining Vipers.
After impressing in the 2019 AFCON tournament in Egypt, he was signed by Tanta FC whom he appeared 11 times.
In Rwanda, the combative midfielder will add to a growing legion of Ugandan players like Nicholas Sebwato, Joachim Ojera, Robert Mukongotya among others
