THE CHAMPIONS CUP: U-21 players eager to impress in Entebbe organised tournament

Twenty teams will be expected to take part in the Champions Cup Uganda organised by Green Sports Africa led by director Khassim Ismaily and Master Card Foundation

The games will be played at ESA Park in Kitubulu along Entebbe Road on Saturday 15th July-2023.

The teams will register at Best Western Hotel Victoria in Kalangala Hall on Friday 14th July starting 2:00pm

Still, it will be in the Kalangala Hall where the youngsters will also be trained on how to become health champions.

The tournament is aimed at helping the U-21 youngsters develop and improve on their talents.

Fimbo Soccer Academy, Lweza Starlets, Garuga Soccer Academy, Together for One, ESA Park, Lake View Kitinda, Entebbe City Academy and Aidenal are some of the teams that have confirmed taking part.

Abdul Ssejjemba the coach Garuga Soccer Academy has appreciated the organisers for the opportunity as he believes it can be a stepping stone for some of the youngsters,

“I would like to appreciate the organisers for this opportunity given to the youngsters I believe they will not be the same and will be given some knowledge about health.”

“They also stand a chance of opportunities outside the Pearl of Africa a great opportunity indeed.”

He added

All the quarter finalists are to be awarded with kits while the winner will walk away with a trophy, medals and 600 dollars.

Best and exceptional performers stand a chance of developing their football talents across the African continent.
