KCCA FC have officially promoted youngster James Mubezi to the senior team after awarding him a lengthy five year contract.
Mubezi is a center back who featured for KCCA’s Reserve team that won the Cambiaso Rainbow Tournament held in Tanzania last year.
He unfortunately got injured in the first game of the tournament as KCCA face Tanzania’s Ruvu Shooting.
After successfully recovery from the toe injury, Mubezi spent the season training with the KCCA senior team and impressed.
A delighted Mubezi has dubbed the move as a dream come true.
“I feel so delighted to sign my first contract with KCCA FC. This is a dream come true. I have been working so hard to impress the technical team and I am glad I caught their eye.” Mubezi told KCCA’s website.
” I want to continue working hard and become a mainstay in the starting team. I have been around the club for a year and I have now acclimatized to the environment. I cannot wait for the pre-season and the season to start so I can get going.” He added.
Mubezi was signed from Mbale Heroes in 2022 and has previously played for the Kirinya Jinja SS Junior Team in the FUFA Juniors League.
