Former Vipers midfieder Garcia Mpongo Mbombo has joined Rwanda Premier league champions Kiyovu SC.
The Congolese native was among the eight players who were released by double Champions Vipers SC last month.
At Vipers he was limited to playing time due to stiff competition but left the club on a positive note winning both the Uganda Premier league title and Uganda Cup last term.

Besides Vipers, the midfieder has previously featured for Breme RCK (DRC), Etoile du Congo (Congo Brazaville) and Desportivo de Huila, Porcelena FC, Progresso Da Luanda in Angola.
He also played for DRC’s DCMP and FC St Eloi Lupopo.
Kiyovu have began their pre season training under new coach Petros Koukouras formerly at SC Villa.
They already signed goalkeeper Emmanuel Kalyowa and Brian Kalumba.
Last season, Kiyovu SC finished in second place on the Rwanda Premier league table with 63 points as APR won the title on goal difference.
