She Cranes receive Shs68M sponsorship ahead of Netball World Cup

Gal Sports Betting joins Plascon and Uganda Airlines to partner with the Uganda Netball National team, the She Cranes.

The betting company has rewarded the She Cranes with a one year sponsorship package worth Shs68M ahead of the forthcoming world cup and Africa Netball championship.

While unveiling the partnership on Tuesday at ARVS International school in Nakirebe where the national team is having residential training, GSB Uganda, Online products Executive and Marketing, Mr. Matovu Alex revealed that they came on board to see that the national team lacks nothing while representing the nation.

“We are here to support the She Cranes as they are going to be traveling and represent the country for World Cup in South Africa, we made a partnership with Uganda Netball Federation and offered them with 68 million shillings for a period of one year, and we are supporting them for World cup and Africa Netball championship and other activities as managed by UNF” says the Gal Sports Betting Online Product Executive and Marketing officer.

Daniel Ntale, the Federation head of Marketing represented UNF and he expressed his excitement that they have got another family member on board who is Gals Sports Betting.

“Am really excited to have another family member in name of Gals Sports Betting Uganda, they have come at a time where we need them the most, we have been lacking funding, we have expressed a drought due to negativity that has been running around in media and other channels but to put that aside, we are grateful that even amidst all this, there are still people who have trust in us.” Says Ntale

“As marketing, we bring in money, then the federation decides what to use it for but of course, the players are the main objective, so they have to take their portion, money come in the game because of them, money come because of the people working the federation, money comes in because of good leadership, so all those have to share the cake.” Ntale added.

On behalf of the players, Irene Eyaru, the She Cranes captain revealed that the more sponsors come in, the more Netball and She Cranes get more advertised.

“The more sponsors come in, they help to advertise our game both on national and international level, so on behalf of the team, the girls are really happy, and having three sponsors now, it means we are proud and we are very ready to play.” Says Irene Eyaru.

Gals became the third official partner of Uganda Netball Federation and She Cranes and the team is getting ready for World Cup 2023.

Uganda Airlines and Plascon Uganda are the other partners. Only eight days remaining before the throw off of Netball world cup 2023.
