It was a repeat of the 2024 bika bya Baganda netball final as Nnyonnyi Nnyange defeated Mamba Namakaka Namakaka 32-27 to be crowned winners of the 2025 netball championship at Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku.
To progress to the final Nnyonnyi Nnyange defeated Ngeye 25-22 while Mamba Namakaka edged Ngoonge 22-21 in a highly contested game.
Ngeye finished third after defeating Ngoonge 25-22.
Before the kick off of the football opener all clans had a match in in their respective clans.
In the football tournament Ngabi Nnyunga and Kasimba played to a one all draw.
Derrick Yiga scored for Ngabi Nnyunga while Kasimba’s goal was scored by Erias Kiyemba.
The football tournament will continue on Wednesday 7th May with eight fixtures.
Lubiri SS will host a tie between Omutima Omuyanja and Nkusu, Ngaali will play against Ffumbe, Ngabi Nnyunga will play Musu while Mpewo is facing off with Nsuma.
Kibuli SS will also have four games Nakinsinge playing against Olulyo Olulangira, Njovu against Ntalaganya.
The other two games will be a tie between Kayozi and Kkobe plus Mazzi ga Kisasi and Kinyomo.
