FUFA Big League side Police FC have dissolved their Technical Team that had Angelo Lonyesi as their head coach.

The club officially released a statement confirming the development.

Lonyesi leaves together with David Yiga who has been serving as his immediate assistant and Faisal Kanene who was the goalkeeping coach.

Lonyesi took charge of the team last year in July following their relegation to the Big League and almost guided them back to the top flight.

He also guided the club to a Stanbic Uganda Cup final where they lost 1-0 to Vipers SC in Lira courtesy of Milton Karisa’s first half header.

As earlier reported by Swift Sports, Police are set to appoint Simon Peter Mugerwa as their new head coach to replace Lonyesi.

Mugerwa, formerly at SC Villa and Soltilo Bright Stars was the head coach of Proline FC in the Kampala Regional League last season.
