Simba FC confirm release of striker Sam Semugugu ahead of Lugazi FC move

Buganda Regional League side Simba FC have announced the departure of Sam Ssemugugu.

Ssemugugu was the top scorer in the 2022/23 Buganda Regional League when he scored 20 goals

He is destined to join Big League side Lugazi FC replacing Gerald Ogweti who joined UPL side BUL FC.

“After three seasons at our club UWA/Simba FC, Ssemugugu Sam has decided to look for another challenge and has joined Big League side Lugazi FC.”

“Sam scored 20 goals in the last season of 2022 and as the club’s management we wish him well at his new home.”

Ssemugugu is part of the Buganda Province squad and he featured in the 1-0 victory over Bunyoro Province at Kavumba last Sunday.

Lugazi FC finished fifth in their maiden season of the FUFA Big League with 44 points collected from 30 games.
