Uganda Cranes defender Geoffrey Wasswa has officially been unveiled by Ethiopia Coffee SC as earlier reported by this website.
Wasswa signed a three year contract with the Ethiopian Premier League side also commonly known as Ethiopia Bunna.
He was a free agent after his contract with KCCA expired and efforts of a possible renewal emerged futile.
Wasswa will automatically become the fourth Ugandan player to play for Ethiopia Bunna after Ismail Watenga, Boban Bogere Zirintusa and Kirizestom Ntambi who previously featured for the Browns and Yellows.
The former Vipers, Villa and KCCA defender will be part of Micho’s Uganda Cranes squad that will take on Niger in the final group game of the AFCON Qualifiers next month.
Ethiopia Bunna are two times winners of the Ethiopia Premier League and have won the Ethiopian Cup on five occasions.
The club will be coached by the former Township Rollers and AFC Leopards Serbian coach Nikola Kavazovic.
