Mugisha was previously a target for several clubs abroad and in the country including KCCA FC.
The youngster was part of the Uganda Hippos team that represented Uganda in the U20 AFCON tournament held in Egypt.
Mugisha was named the man of the match in Uganda’s encounter against Central African Republic and was also named in the Best XI of the group stages.
He graduated from the U17 national team and was part of the team that represented Uganda in the U17 AFCON tournament in 2018 in Tanzania.
Mugisha is a former Mbarara City Junior Team player who also had a brief stint in Somalia before joining UPDF FC two seasons ago.
He fills the void left by his fellow countryman Peter Lwasa who left the club at the end of last season.
Gor Mahia, coached by former Uganda Cranes coach McKinstry, is also a home to Ugandan forward Patrick Henry Kaddu.
The 20 time Kenya Premier League champions will open up their 2023/24 season with a home duel against Sofapaka FC on Saturday 26th August.
