The 2023 Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) games concluded on Sunday, 27th August in Rwanda.
Uganda successfully retained the overall title at the 20th edition of the championship that was hosted in Huye and Gisagara districts in Rwanda.
Ugandan schools, scooped a total of 37 medals, 17 gold, 11 silver and 9 bronze.
Kenya finished second with 23 medals in total, 8 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze.
Host nation Rwanda was third with 12 medals, 4 silver and 8 bronze while Tanzania managed three medals, 2 silver and 1 bronze.
Uganda dominated in football (boys and girls), Swimming (boys and girls),Table Tennis (boys and girls), Soccer (boys and girls), Badminton (boys and girls), basketball for 3X3 and 5×5 (boys and Girls), Handball (boys and girls), Netball, Rugby 15’s and Hockey (boys).
Meanwhile, the ,21st edition of the Championship will be hosted in Uganda while the 2025 edition will be staged in Kenya.
