KCCA FC ended their three-winless run in the league with a narrow 1-0 win over Mbarara City on Saturday at MTN Omondi Stadium.

Usama Arafat scored the all important goal for the Kasasiro in the second period of the game.

KCCA FC had lost three games in the row with the defeats coming against Kitara (4-0) a result that led to the sacking of coach Abdallah Mubiru.

Magera’s reign as interim coach began with the 2-1 defeat to BUL FC before a 1-0 loss at URA FC.

The Kasasiro boys however won their Stanbic Uganda Cup Quarterfinal contest against Kaaro Karungi.

KCCA also got their revenge over Mbarara City who maximized points in the reverse fixture via boardroom.

The 13-time Uganda Premier league champions played Gavin Kizito who was suspended after accumulating three yellow cards. FUFA awarded the Ankole Lions three points.

Usama Arafat ensured that the Lugogo based side gets its revenge when he scored in the 67th minute of the game.

KCCA could have scored more with Bright Anukani, Shafik Nana Kwikiriza and Usama all failing to take away their scoring chances.

Magera’s charges are now sixth on the table with 37 points while Mbarara City FC are 13th with 23 points.
