Two Uganda Premier league sides are interested in signing KCCA Junior team and Buddu Ssaza attacking midfieder Jovan Mawejje.
SC Villa and Wakiso Giants are both courting for Mawejje’s signature.
Swift Sports Uganda understands that SC Villa are currently leading the race to sign Mawejje.
Wakiso have also entered the race to sign the exciting attacker this transfer window.
Mawejje was named the 2023 Bika by’abaganda football Most Valuable Player. He won the same accolade in 2019.
He was instrumental in guiding his Mbogo clan to the Bika final before losing to eventual winners Ngoonge.
Mawejje was part of the KCCA FC Junior team that won the inaugural Cambiasso and rainbow Cup U20 tournament that was stages in Tanzania last year.
At Buddu, he has been one of the outstanding players for the side in this year’s Masaza Cup competition.
