Another Ugandan goalkeeper moves to Ethiopia

Goalkeeper Saidi Keni is set to join Ethiopian side Shashemene Football City Football.

Swift Sports understands Keni has already left Uganda for Ethiopia to complete his move from BUL FC.

The goalkeeper represented Uganda at the U20 and U23 levels.

Keni has previously played for Proline FC and Uganda Premier League record champions SC Villa.

He was so instrumental when BUL FC won the Uganda Cup championship in the 2021/22 season after defeating Vipers SC 3-1 in a final that was played at Masindi Stadium.

Shashemene FC are new league entrants having won promotion to the topflight at the end of last season.

Nafian Alionzi (Mekelakeya SC), Geoffrey Wasswa (Ethiopia Coffee), Simon Peter Oketch (CBE), Robert Odongkara (Wolkite City) and Charles Musiige (Dire Dawa) are other Ugandans in the Ethiopian League.
