Former Uganda Cranes winger Vincent Kayizzi is passionate about embarking on a career as a coach when he retires from football.
Kayizzi’s KCCA FC team-mate Tonny Mawejje has taken his first step into management. Mawejje serves as assistant coach at Kampala Queens which is his maiden job since he hang up his boots.
Kayizzi intends to follow suit at the end of his playing career and is working towards the relevant qualifications.
He is currently at FUFA Technical centre in Njeru pursuing a CAF C coaching license.
“It is something I am passionate about and I want to do,” Kayizzi told Swift Sports.
“Obviously, I need to complete my badges, which I am doing over in Njeru.”
“Hopefully, by the time I am done I will embark on the coaching career though I think I can still play football for at least one more season.”
Said Kayizzi before adding,
“I would prefer to give coaching or management a go. If it doesn’t work out then I am sure there would be other opportunities.”
Kayizzi has previously played for KCCA FC, URA FC, Vipers SC, Express, Kyetume FC, MYDA FC, Tooro United and most recently Bushenyi Veterans.
He has also played at APR ( Rwanda), FK Srem ( Serbia), Novi Pazar ( Serbia), Motor Lublin in Poland and Bukavu Dawa ( DR.Congo).
