Wakiso Giants succumbed to a 3-0 home defeat to Maroons FC when the two sides faced off in the league game on Sunday.
Goals from Darius Ojok and Abraham Tusubira gave the Prison side a comfortable win over the Purple Sharks at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.
Ojok scored the fastest goal of the new campaign when he gave Maroons the lead in the opening minute of the contest.
Rahmat Senfuka came close to levelling matters for the hosts but his effort rattled the crossbar.
In the 34th minute, Ojok completed his brace to send Kabaka Kyabaggu into silence.
At the halftime breather, the visitors were leading 2-0 courtesy of a Ojok brace.
Tusubira put the cherry on the icing of the cake with ten minutes to normal time.
Both sides will return to action next weekend with Wakiso Giants FC taking on Soltilo Bright Stars FC on Saturday while Maroons FC host SC Villa to Luzira the following day.
