Senkatuka’s late strike helps Bright Stars share spoils with URA FC at Kavumba

Soltilo Bright Stars and URA FC played out to a 1-1 stalemate at Kavumba Recreation ground in the early kickoff on Thursday.

Nelson Senkatuka’s second half strike cancelled out Ivan Ahimbisibwe’s first half goal.

Bright Stars remain winless this term and are yet to test victory over URA FC since 2019.

Joseph Mutyaba’s side however had the best chances in the contest with David Kizza and John Kokas squandering several opportunities.

Kizza blasted a golden opportunity over the bar while Kokas headed wide a quality Yasin Mugume perfect cross.

Ahimbisibwe gave the visitors the lead in the 19th minute off a quality Laban Tibita corner kick.

His goal was however cancelled out by Senkatuka in the 79th minute.

Bright Stars are now on two points in the three games they have played while the tax collectors have five points.

Bright Stars next travel to Express FC on 1st October at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku while URA FC will host Wakiso Giants at Mehta Stadium on the same day.
