Vipers SC are close to signing former UPDF FC defender Bright Vuni, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Last week, Vuni confirmed his departure at the Army side whom he helped overcome relegation on the final day of the 2023/24 season.
His one year employment contract that he signed with UPDF FC expired at the end of the season.
Sources reveal that six time Uganda Premier league champions Vipers SC are close to sealing Vuni’s signature and is expected to put pen to paper on a two year deal.
Vuni scored four goals and provided one assist in the 25 league games he played for UPDF, last campaign.
He has previously also played for Young Simba in the Buganda Regional League and Arua Hill SC.
Vipers SC finished third on the Uganda Premier league table with 56 points, one behind champions SC Villa.
