Cromwell Rwothomio scored twice as NEC inflicted a fifth straight league defeat of the campaign on KCCA FC under the floodlights of MTN Omondi Stadium on Thursday.

This is KCCA FC’s worst ever start to a league campaign and any hope of building on last season’s positives already appears to be in tatters.

Of all the setbacks KCCA FC have suffered, this is the biggest red flag of the lot. And they are now running out of excuses.

Earlier this week, the ‘underwhelming performances’ cost Sergio Traguil his job and replaced by interim coach Jackson Magera Kaddu.

On Thursday evening, KCCA FC faithfuls thong Lugogo expecting positives but it was the same old script.

Hussein Mbalangu’s NEC prevailed just as revitalized BUL FC, Maroons FC, Express FC and Kitara FC maximized points against the 13 time Uganda Premier league champions.

Former URA FC and Vipers SC forward Cromwell first half brace was enough to inspire NEC to their fourth league win.

They are currently third on the Uganda Premier league log with 12 points while KCCA FC are pointless this term.

Magera and his charges next face Arua Hill fellow strugglers Arua Hill SC on Tuesday, 31st October in Adjumani while NEC welcome Gaddafi on Wednesday.
