Senegal have ended Uganda U20 Women National team (Queen Cranes) from the 2024 World Cup Qualifiers after a 1-1 stalemate in Njeru on Saturday.

Uganda needed to win with two unanswered goals to prevail but failed to overturn the 1-0 first leg defeat in Dakar.

Senegal cruise to the next round 2-1 on aggregate after two legs.

Hadijah Nandago gave Queen Cranes a bright start when she found the back of the net in the fourth minute to level the tie on aggregate.

The Lioness of Teranga however restored parity in the 25th minute through Chris Aissatou Ba.

Aissatou was also the scorer for the Senegalese in the first leg.

Her goal in the return fixture was more vital for Senegal as they cruised to the next round 2-1 on aggregate.

Senegal will now face off with the winner between Ghana or Eswatini.

The best four teams on the continent will represent Africa at next year’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup due in Colombia.
