Wakiso Hill appoint new captains for 2024/25 Women Super League season

Wakiso Hill Women Football have named Patricia Nayiga as the new club captain for the 2024/25 Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League season.

Nayiga replaces Zaitun Namaganda who was the club’s skipper in the closing half of the second round.

Namaganda recently left the club and joined moneybags Kampala Queens on a two year contract.

Versatile defender Faridah Namirimu has been named as the club’s first assistant captain.

Midfielder Teopista Apino and defender Teddy Namata Nantongo complete the club’s leadership group as the second and third assistant captains respectively.

Wakiso Hill opened their season with a 1-1 draw against Kampala Queens at Lugogo thanks to a late stunning free kick from youngster Judith Mauwa.

The Antelopes will face holders Kawempe Muslim in their next game on Sunday at the St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

The Maya based club is under the tutelage of Rogers Nkugwa and Rajab Buyinza Mugweri who secured safety from relegation in the closing half of the previous season.
