Reigning FEASSA Boys’ Football champions St.Mary’s Boarding Secondary School Kitende progressed to the final of the 2024 games.
Kitende cruised 1-0 past Kenya’s Musingu Secondary School in the first semifinal that was played at Mbale Stadium on Sunday.
Farouq Tumwesigye’s second half goal was enough to send the 15-time East Africa champions into tomorrow’s final.
In the other semi-final, Amus College powered past their neighbours and co-hosts Bukedea Comprehensive 2-0 to set up a second consecutive East Africa final with Kitende.
Busulwa Davis and Ijosiga Mudasir scored the two goals for Amus against ten men Bukedea Comprehensive.
Bukedea’s Emmanuel Mubiru was sent off early into the game.
Kitende will be seeking a 16th East Africa crown while Amus are targeting revenge.
Meanwhile, Bukedea will battle Kenya’s Musingu in the third place playoff match.
