NEC FC cruised to maximum points away to Kitara FC during their league game on Thursday at Royals Park Stadium, Butema in Hoima.
Enock Ssebagala and Gaddafi Wahabu scored for Hussein Mbalangu coached side in their 2-1 win.
Kabon Living’s leveller turned into a consolation as the Royals suffered their first defeat of the season.
In the same game, Paul Mucureezi who was facing his former paymasters suffered a bad fall after colliding with Kitara FC skipper Max Owachgui.
Mucureezi was rushed to hospital and his condition is now stable.
After a goalless first half, Ssebagala fired NEC into the lead with a sensational long range strike to silence the home faithfuls early in the second period.
Second half substitute Kabong who replaced Frank Tumwesigye alias Zaga levelled matters for Kitara from the spot after NEC FC’s Atendele Geriga had fouled Denis Omedi in the forbidden area.
NEC restored parity with ten minutes to normal time through another astonishing goal from Gaddafi Wahab.
Victory sees NEC move to six points in the two games they have played and are now top of the table.
Kitara will next visit KCCA FC on 27th September while NEC will host UPDF FC on 24th at Lugogo.
