Uganda Cranes will miss the services of defenders Halid Lwaliwa and Kenneth Semakula in their opening 2025 AFCON qualifier match against South Africa due to visa issues.
Both players will however be available for the second game against Congo Brazzaville in Namboole.
Semakula and Lwaliwa have just joined new sides in Tunisian giants Club Africain and Saudi Arabian outfit Al Ain respectively this transfer window.
Allan Kyambadde, Moses Opondo, Uche Mubiru Ikpeazu and Isaac Ssewankambo have not been selected in the 28 man squad due to respective injuries.
Meanwhile, the named team will travel to South Africa on 31st August to prepare for the first game against the 1996 AFCON champions on 6th September at Orlando Stadium.
