Tanzania side Ihefu SC fire Moses Basena as head coach

Tanzanian side Ihefu SC have confirmed parting ways with Ugandan head coach Moses Basena.

The former assistant Uganda Cranes coach joined the Tanzanian side in October 2023 replacing Zuber Katwila, he went alongside with Fred Kajoba the goalkeepers’ coach.

He was coach for only 50 days having been appointed on 16th October and was in charge of only six games, he managed three draws and lost the other three games.

He leaves the team in the relegation play off zone (14th on a table of 16) with ten points.

Basena has previously worked with Express FC, KCCA FC, The Saints, URA FC, UPDF FC and Uganda Cranes as the assistant head coach. Ihefu was promoted to the top tier in the 2022/23.
