Kitara FC head coach Brian Ssenyondo has hailed his players for the tremendous performance in their 2-1 defeat to Vipers SC on Thursday.

On Kitara’s erroneously disallowed late equalizer, Ssenyondo revealed that referees determine the outcome of the game.

“We played some good football, scored two goals and one did not stand, so we take that as a positive. I don’t comment on referees, they decide the game for us we have to play and score goals then referees count the goals.”

The referees decided that the goal should not stand and they did their job.”

Ssenyondo was however pleased with the general performance of his team

“We played some good football, I don’t think we deserved to lose, I can only say that the better team lost. I congratulate the boys for what they have done. The season is still so far good to us and we are still in our targets. We take the positives and we will try to maximize points in that next game at home.” Said Ssenyondo

Kitara remain third placed on the Uganda Premier league table with 19 points they have garnered after 10 games. They next host Express FC on Tuesday next week.
