Swedish giants BK Hacken have signed Ugandan striker John Paul Dembe on a four year contract from KCCA FC.

Dembe spent the past six months on loan at Hacken and impressively scored 10 goals in eight games while playing for the Hacken U19 Team in the Swedish U19 Allsvenskan.

Dembe played two games for the Hacken senior team during the Europa League. He came off the bench against Molde and Qarabag.

” I have done well and that is why I am getting a new contract. It is a big difference from Uganda. The environment is good and BK Hacken has nice facilities and is a good club.” Dembe says via the club’s website.

The youngster garnered Hacken’s attention during the AFCON U20 Tournament in Cairo early this year and secured a loan deal from his club KCCA.

He was also part of the KCCA U20 Team that won the Cambiasso and Rainbow International Cup in Tanzania a year ago.

He will be expected to play a part as Hacken seek to retain the league title having finished third on the table in the 2023 season.
