Isaac Ssenyange Zebra Jr has transited from amateur Boxing and joined the Professional ranks.

Ssenyange son to the late Zebra Ssenyange Mando confirmed the development during a press briefing that was held at Zebra Boxing club in Bwaise on Thursday.

According to Ssenyange Jr, he made the decision with his management

“I will officially turn pro and this was decided by myself and management. They gave me examples of prominent boxers who have turned professional at a young age such as Floyd Mayweather Jr and Mike Tyson and have had great boxing careers.”

The management decided that it was the right time for me to turn professional and I believe have made a right decision. It’s time for me to start a new journey and I will be aiming for greatness. I hope to have several fights next year.” Said Zebra Ssenyange Jr

Zebra Boxing club together with Bigbang have organized a fight night dubbed Zebra Mando Memorial Fight that is scheduled on 29th December at Lugogo Hockey Grounds.

“The Zebra Mando fight night is dedicated towards celebrating the legacy of my late father to the game of Boxing. We shall also use it as a fundraising event to raise money for the construction of the Zebra Mando gym.” Said Ssenyange Jr

On behalf of BigBang promotions, Mwanje Muzaphalu promised fireworks on the fight night.

“It’s going to be fireworks and fans should expect entertainment.” Zebra should be celebrated basing on what he managed to do for Bwaise and the country.” Said Mwanje

Zebra Mando was gunned down in December 2020 near his home in Bwaise. Zebra Senior captained the Bombers at the 10th All Africa Games in Mozambique in 2011.
