Kyaggwe County has today Wednesday 31st January 2024 held a press conference ahead of the Ssekiboobo Cup opener.
The press conference was held at Ggulu in Mukono in the presence of chairman Ssekiboobo Cup Moses Jombwe, Joseph Bbomboka the youth chairperson Kyaggwe Owek David Kato Matovu.
The opener will be played between Musaale Nagojje and Mutuba 9 Goma at St Theresa Namagunga on Sunday 4th February.
Owek Matovu is pleased with the preparations and anticipates fruitful results,
“The preparations are in high gear throughout Kyaggwe it gives me confidence that the results will be fruitful, I kindly request the participants to be displined, respect their leaders it’s the only way we shall get responsible citizens.”
Jjombwe has assured all Kabaka’s subjects in Kyaggwe to fully support the tournament that will spot talents to represent Kyaggwe in the forthcoming prestigious Masaza Cup tournament,
“This tournament will help us spot talent youngsters who can represent Kyaggwe and I believe it is the only way to go those borne in Kyaggwe will play their hearts out for the best results .”
Bbomboka anticipates a good display through out all the sub counties and asked for full support,
“We believe this tournament will help the youth develop financially and talentwise we hope through combined efforts we are to achieve the best.”
“On February 11th we are hosting Owek Ssalongo Robert Serwanga let us storm the Ssaza head offices to welcome him.”
The Ggombolola Cup was officially launched on Saturday 29th January at Uganda Clays grounds Kajjansi by Owek Ssalongo Robert Serwanga.
