Express FC pair of head coach Alex Isabirye and striker Isaac Wagoina have been named Pilsner UPL best of December.
The duo was crowned winners of December at Kati Kati Restaurant in Lugogo on Wednesday.
Wagoina clinched the player of the month following his impressive performances.
He netted four goals in December against NEC FC, Vipers SC and URA FC.
Wagoina beat his former teammate at Express FC Alex Emmanuel Wasswa and Kitara’s Paul Mucureezi.
His coach Isabirye was also named as the coach of the month after guiding the seven time league champions to wins against NEC, Vipers SC, Arua Hill and Gaddafi FC.
Isabirye beat Maroons FC’s Muhammad Senfuma and Kitara’s Brian Ssenyondo.
Both were rewarded with a winners accolade and Shs1M each courtesy of main sponsors Pilsner.
SC Villa’s Dusan Stojanovic and Brian Ssenyondo are the other coaches to have won the coach of the month accolade this term.
Alex Kitata (Kitara FC) and Nelson Senkatuka are the previous recipients of the player of the month gong.
