The FUFA Executive Committee has issued guidance regarding the players of Ndejje University FC and Arua Hill SC.
Both clubs were featuring in the Uganda Premier league and FUFA Big League, respectively in the current season.
For, Ndejje University FC the owner (Ndejje University) decided to withdraw the club from the ongoing FUFA Big League season 2023/24 due to financial hardships.
Arua Hill SC, breached the club licensing requirements and were removed from the second round Fixtures of the Uganda Premier League season 2023/24 and relegated to next season’s FUFA Big League.
Since both clubs had players with contracts, the Federation has made a decision regarding their future.
The FUFA Executive has therefore decided as follows:
1.All the players of Ndejje University FC are free agents with immediate effect. They are free to join a club of their choice.
2.All players of Arua Hill SC out of contract are free to join a club of their choice.
3.All players of Arua Hill SC whose contracts have been mutually terminated are free to join a club of their choice.
4.Players of Arua Hill SC still on contract with the club may join a club of their choice on loan for the rest of the season 2023/24.
5.In all of the above cases, the acquiring (destination) club must have the vacancies and space to recruit the players in conformity with the relevant regulations.
6.FUFA has set the period from 1st-15thMarch 2024, for any such transfer of players from Ndejje University FC and Arua Hill SC to clubs of their choices to be effected.
