Pajule Lions clinch Uganda Cup quarter final berth with third successive home win

Northern Regional League side Pajule Lions FC became the first team to qualify for the Stanbic Uganda Cup quarterfinals after defeating Young Simba 1-0 in Pader District.

Adan scored the all important goal of the well attended game at the Pajule Primary School ground on Saturday afternoon.

To reach the quarter finals, Pajule Lions have their home advantage count having hosted all their crucial three Stanbic Uganda Cup games from the Round of 64 to the Round of 16.

They eliminated Uganda Premier League side UPDF FC with an emphatic 1-0 victory in the Round 64.

Their progress continued as they beat Nsambya SC 2-0 in the Round of 32 courtesy of goals from Opwonya Job and Otim Moses.

The round of 16 continues today with two games in Masindi and at Njeru.

2022 winners BUL FC host embattled record holders Express FC at Njeru while Kitara host SC Villa in Masindi.
