SC Villa have appointed Ibrahim Kirya as their head of scouting, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
This website understands that the former SC Villa head coach has already kick started his new role at the club.
At SC Villa, Kirya has previously served as head coach and also in the capacity of assistant coach.
Kirya is a two time Masaza Cup tournament winning coach having guided Gomba to the 2020 triumph and Bulemeezi Ssaza team during last year’s edition.
During the 2020 and 2021 editions, Kirya served as Gomba Lions head coach. In 2020, he led Gomba to their fifth Masaza Cup triumph.
He has previously served at URA FC, SC Villa, Lweza FC, Wakiso Giants and lately Tooro United in the capacity of head coach.
In Masaza Cup competition, Kirya has worked at Gomba, Busiro and lately Bulemeezi.
Kirya was in charge of Mbogo clan in the Bika Bya Baganda football tournament whom he led to the final before losing to eventual winners Ngoonge clan last year.
