Wakiso Giants beat Express as 5 star Mbarara City humiliate Gaddafi

Wakiso Giants returned to winning ways with a 3-2 victory over Express FC at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku on Wednesday.

The Purple Sharks came into the contest back off a 4-0 defeat to Vipers SC in their previous game while Express FC lost 1-0 to their arch-rivals SC Villa.

First half goals from Samson Kigozi, Kenneth Kimera and Shariph Kimbowa earned the visitors maximum points.

Joshua Musoke and Yasser Mugerwa scored the two goals for the home side who remain winless under the stewardship of Baker Mbowa.

Express are now eighth with 29 points in 21 games, while Wakiso Giants are 12th with 23.

In the other game at Kakyeka Stadium, Mbarara City shred Gaddafi FC 5-0.

Goals from Sadat Nsubuga, Benson Muhindo, Joseph Akandwanaho and a brace from Pius Wangi fired the Ankole Lions to maximum points.

Mbarara City are now ninth on the Uganda Premier league log with 27 points in 20 they have played while Gaddafi are 13th with 18 points.
