The 2023/24 betPawa Futsal Super League resumed on Thursday evening with three Matchday 15 games, featuring clashes involving second and third placed teams.
Kisenyi began the day in second place but we’re held to a 4-4 draw by Kabowa Dream team on Thursday.
AbdiKarim Abdullahi Ahmed and Shafic Dahir initially secured a 2-0 lead for Kisenyi, but Kabowa fought back, leveling the score early on in the second half with goals from Allan Kimbowa and Carlos Kaddu.
AbdiKarim briefly restored Kisenyi’s lead, only for Mansour Kintu to level matters again for Kabowa.
Despite Dharir putting Kisenyi ahead once more, Baker Nsubuga’s goal for Kabowa ensured secure a draw.
With this draw, Kisenyi drops to third place on the 12-team log, accumulating 32 points from 15 games.
FC Luzira moved above Kisenyi by securing a dominant victory against bottom-placed Kawempe FC. Arafat Ssentogo scored six goals, while Joshua Aziku completed a hat-trick. Edmund Bithum (2) and Samuel Omara also found the net, leading Luzira to a resounding 12-3 win.
With this emphatic victory, Luzira now trails leaders Park FC by five points, with Park set to face Lubaga Grameen on Friday evening.
In the third match of the day, Kenneth Kisiro’s hat-trick propelled Aidenal FC to a 4-1 victory over Kampala Junior Team (KJT) FC, securing their second win of the season.
