Former SC Villa and KCCA FC midfielder Isaac Kirabira has criticised the structure of Kyetume FC and claims it is the worst football team in country.
While appearing on YouTube Channel Uganda Fan TV, the former SC Villa skipper revealed the problems he found at Kyetume FC and regrets making a decision to join the club
“My football career was halted the moment I joined Kyetume. Just like the name, Kyetume is not a football club. There’s nothing related to football at Kyetume.”
“The team was already poorly structured and started involving in betting. We used to go six months without pay and I remember an incident when the club owner arrested some Nigerian players for demanding their salaries. Amazingly, he paid them when they were in Police custody. Kyetume is the worst run team in the country that I have ever played for, I regret joining it.” Said Kirabira
Kirabira guided KCCA to a domestic double during the 2016/17 season and featured for the side in every game that season including the CAF champions league matches.
He also won the Uganda cup the following season despite surrendering the league title to Vipers SC in the same campaign.
For starters, Kirabira is the last captain to have lifted any silverware for Villa, having guided them to the 2015 Uganda cup trophy.
