Simon Peter Mugerwa is set to return to Busiro as their head coach ahead of the 2024 Masaza Cup tournament.
Swift Sports Uganda understands that Mugerwa and Busiro are close to reaching an agreement.
In case the deal materializes, Mugerwa will return to Busiro whom he led to the 2022 Masaza Cup triumph.
Mugerwa’s other former paymasters Bulemeezi are also interested in his signature.
The tactician currently serves as head coach at FUFA Big League table leaders Police FC.
Last year, Busiro were under the stewardship of Ibrahim Kirya before he left and joined Bulemeezi Ssaza team.
Busiro had their Masaza Cup end at the group stage during the 2023 edition.
Mugerwa has also previously served at Kakungulu Memorial, Masaka Secondary School and Buddo Secondary School in the schools’ football competitions.
He guided both Masaka and Buddo SS to the East Africa Secondary School Football Associations gold respectively.
Mugerwa is also served as assistant coach at record Uganda Premier league champions SC Villa and Bright Stars.
