Mmamba Gabunga and Butiko will play in the opener of the 50th edition of the Bika Byabaganda Football and Netball tournaments which officially kicks off on the 20th of April.
The development was confirmed by Owek Robert Serwanga Ssalongo in a press conference held in the Cabinet Bulange Mengo,
“The 50th edition officially kicks off on 20th of April with Mmamba Gabunga and Butiko in netball, a week later the same clans will play the football opener (27th-April) as netball climaxes.”
“But before the kick off, for the very first time we are having a fundraising dinner for this edition on 12th-April at Hotel Africana where a person will pay shs.300000/=, companies shs.1,000,000 and shs.3,000,000/= to be part so I call upon everyone concerned to be part of this.”
Hajji Sulaiman Magala (BIFONEC chairman) and Nkerebwe clan head Omutaka Dr. Grace Kizito Bakyayita were among those that attended the presser.
For starters Ngeye are the netball champions while Ngonge won the 49th football edition.
