Defender Bright Joseph Vuni has confirmed partying ways with UPDF FC after one year.
Vuni was part of the squad the helped the Army side survive relegation on the final day of the 2023/24 Uganda Premier League season.
He scored four goals and provided one assist in the 25 games he played for UPDF.
In his farewell message, Vuni appreciated the Army side for giving him an opportunity to showcase his talent as well as wishing them the best in the next,
“Today I say good Bye to this magificient Club As it is UPDF Fc Uganda.I Want to thank the club for helping me becoming a better player and making me feel at home during my time here, about 1year Ago UPDF FC A club that will remain in my heart ,gave me the amazing opportunity.”
“After this year i can only say thank you to the club,to the techincal team and the fans who showed me love during my time at the club,Good luck to my team mates who helped me settle in since day one not only as team mates but as freinds .”
“Today i say good bye To UPDF Fc but i take with me many memories,Lessons and great moments that will live with me forever at last I want to wish UPDF Fc success🙏🏼”
UPDF finished the second with 27 points in the 13th position hence surviving relegation.
Vuni has previously also played for Young Simba in the Buganda Regional League and Arua Hill SC.
