SC Villa captain Kenneth Semakula has confirmed his departure in a statement he released on his social media platforms.
Semakula was instrumental in ending SC Villa’s 20-year title wait in the just concluded 2023/24 season.
In a statement, he thanked the club administration, coaches, teammates and fans.
“As my time with this incredible club draws to a close, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to each abd everyone of you. It has been an honour and a privilege to serve as your skipper and player over these past seasons.”
To my teammates, you are not just colleagues but brother in arms. Together we have faces challenges, celebrated victories and forged bonds that will last a lifetime. The coaching staff and technical team, your guidance and expertise have been instrumental in our success.”

He thanked the club faithfuls for the tremendous support during his time at the 17 time Uganda Premier league champions.
The incredible fans, your are the lifeblood of this club, your passion, your energy, unweaving support have been driving force behind our success.”

Semakula joined SC Villa at the start of the 2021/22 season from BUL FC signing a three year employment contract.
