Kirya lands coaching role at UPL side

Uganda Premier league side BUL FC have added Ibrahim Kirya to their coaching staff.

Kirya joins BUL FC’s technical staff that is headed by Abbey Kikomeko Bogere on a two year employment contract.

He has previously served at URA FC, SC Villa, Lweza FC, Wakiso Giants and Tooro United in the capacity of head coach.

At SC Villa he also worked as assistant coach to Jackson Magera during the 2022/23 season.

Kirya is a two time Buganda Masaza Cup winner with Gomba (2020) and Bulemeezi Ssaza (2023). Buwekula recently appointed him as their technical director for the 2024 Masaza Cup tourney.

BUL FC’s technical team also has former Uganda Cranes internationals James Magala and Simeon Masaba, Eddie Kawesa, Abdul Magada (goalkeeping coach) as well as trainer Noah “Babadi” Kasule.

Last season, BUL FC finished second on the Uganda Premier league table with 56 points, one behind champions SC Villa.
